Can I get pregant while taking a GLP-1 medication?

GLP-1 medications slow down the gastric emptying of the stomach. If you are on ORAL birth control, you are at a higher risk of getting pregnant. The slowed stomach emptying does not allow for your oral birth control to be released into your body at the same time everyday. Please speak with your provider before taking these medications if you are on an ORAL birth control.
